KWT – Contact point for knowledge and technology transfer Business start-ups

With the establishment of the Starter Center in the Saarland start-up scene, the range of services for those interested in starting a business on the campus of Saarland University has been continuously expanded.

To date, the contact point for knowledge and technology transfer (KWT) has taken center stage. Integrated into the Department of Research Management and Transfer, it bundles all sub-areas of transfer that serve to raise awareness, provide advice and mediate.

In addition to start-up support, these include both the establishment of contacts and the initiation of collaborations between companies and scientists, as well as the Career Center, which offers students support in their job search and career planning.

And the work is paying off. In 2013, Saarland University was named an EXIST University of Entrepreneurship.
